As an international school committed to providing a strong balanced programme, Arts forms a key platform for student learning opportunities. Every child at CMIS must be involved in the Arts programme, covering the domains of visual arts, music and drama. In a world where creativity, collaboration and problem-solving are key skills all leaders require, the Arts programme ensures that these fundamental skills are explored, developed and showcased in a variety of areas.

At CMIS, we regard Visual Arts not as a study separated from other knowledge, but as an integral part of developing the whole person. Like all learning, creativity needs to be nurtured in a positive, friendly environment and students treated with sensitivity so that they are not hesitant in expressing their personal visions within their artworks.

Art is compulsory from Preschool to Year 6. Students’ work is regularly showcased throughout the school, celebrating their creativity and brightening corridors and classrooms.
